 What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favorite color?

My name is Harold Smith, better known as Top Hat Man. My quest, comic-wise, is to attain fame, glory, and maybe even be able to afford healthcare. My favorite color is purple. Additionally, the capital of Assyria is Ninevah-- you never know when that's going to come up.

What is your artistic philosophy?

I hate art. Which is to say, I hate making art. Which is to say, I hate making poorly-drawn art, which is the only kind of art I seem capable of creating. Let's face it-- there are many many examples of Cave Paintings that exhibit far more technical skill than any of my comics.

There are many webcomics that have minimialist styles. Some people think this implies the artists lack artistic talent, but oh no-- minimalist comics actually are able to convey huge amounts of subtle detail with only a few lines. "Simply Drawn" isn't not the same as "Amateurly Drawn"-- and I clearly fall into the later camp. That said, I'm willing to press on and try to make the world smile in spite of my utter lack of talent.
